Announcing New Appointment: Carolyn Weber, Senior International Correspondent

Haberman International Policy Institute in Education.

                             Carolyn Weber, Senior International Correspondent

Extremely passionate about education, Carolyn Weber is working towards being a professor or policymaker. For now, she is serving A Semester at Sea   and will hold the title of   Senior International Correspondent for the Haberman International Policy Institute in Education.  HIPIE.org

Carolyn Weber’s experience includes a year as the Campus Campaign Coordinator for Teach For America and a summer working for Michelle Rhee in the DC Public Schools Central Office. As Campus Campaign Coordinator, she increased acceptance levels from Penn State by over 200 percent. With DCPS, she created and coordinated a system to process over 500 weekly applications.

We believe Carolyn has the leadership ability ,  the communication skills and  techniques which will bring  the much needed information from across our  international borders. An undergraduate student, a diligent leader with an incredible talent as a writer, we at the Haberman Educational Foundation believe in the importance of her mission; in essence, the education of the masses with peace and social justice as the driving force.

Of interest will be her summaries regarding education around the globe .We have requested that her topics provide an overall impression of education in every country visited and a brief note regarding each encounter that relates to the education of children and youth.

The Haberman Foundation and its nationally recognized leaders, remain extremely interested in international   school systems and aspire to determine if children have sufficient learning opportunities that will provide a route to continue their education as they leave their respective schools.

At some venture, HIPIE will bring educators from many countries and provide a forum for networking to improve our understanding of how we might be of service to those who need a helping hand. We will learn from our fellow educators on an international scale.

Carolyn Weber’s Semester at Sea, will bring important information from countries that are struggling while searching for better ways to educate the children and youth of the world.  We welcome her strengths as a writer; we believe she will bring an unsullied view of the education world that surrounds us!
